ASTROFEGGIA APARTMENTS
                                         (EFI'S
This block of accomodation is amongst the best in Pollonia. Efi takes great pride in her rooms and studios. If you are  lucky enough to be offered her home made cake do not refuse it because she is a superb cook. The views on the upper floor have the sea to the north and to the south the village and harbour can be seen beyond other buildings. The sandy sea shore of the bay is a short five minute walk. This is a quiet place as it is not on any main roads. Highly recommended by many guides Efi is always sure her customers will want to return.
               ANEMOESSA STUDIOS
What can one say about this accomodation, nothing but praise. George and Kostula are warm generous people of the old Greek school. Their rooms and studios are decorated in traditional style and are of the utmost comfort with airconditioning of course plus superb views over the sea and area around which is called Pelakouda. The ground floor aprtments lack privacy with the patios but that is only a small setback to a beautifully kept building. The sea shore over the roadway is rocky but a sandy beach is hardly ten minutes walk.
                           EN MILOY
This property has unrivalled views across Pollonia Bay to the centre of the village. It is situated at the start of what is know as the area of Pelakouda which is the pennisular of Pollonia. The rooms are partly self catering with fridge and small cooker, ideal for the holidaymaker who wants to eat in and out. It is well away from the main road which is below on the photo of the view so safe for the kids and the village centre is only ten minutes walk and the nearest sandy beach is at the bottom of the drive and over the road.
              CAPTAIN STAVROS
Opposite Sosanna's this is a mix of studios and rooms that are clean and near to both north and south shores. The owner, Stavros does in fact captain the popular round Milos excursion caique that sails from Adamas daily. so you can book this memorable trip with him without problems.
                  APOLLON HOTEL
Rooms here only but they do have a breakfast bar which is very adequate. The rooms are small and lack privacy as they look onto a courtyard that has tables where diners eat breakfast and also use the area to sit with drinks from the bar. This area is right on the waters edge and elevated above a small cove which one can swim from. However, it is also the home of a scuba centre so swimmers have to share with people learning to scuba. The rocks around the cove are smooth and popular for bathers who do not like sand in everything. The swimming is absolutely safe even though it may not  look it although swimmers must keep in shore and not be tempted to swim way out into the strais that seperate this shore from the island of Kimolos because ferry boats and other shipping pass through frequently. the scuba facility is well run and well worth using particularly if you are a first timer as they speak German, English, Italian and French in the school - so go for your first PADI certificate it is really good fun. Or do more serious dives with experienced instructors if you have your scuba  licence with you.
                      GALLIS VILLA
This property is in a superb setting, set on a hillside and overlooking the village and sea it is right at the back of Pollonia. The only drawback is that it is near the mining complex and thus some noise can be expected from there. One has to weigh the stunning view and spotless rooms of this impeccable accomodation to the slightly annoying noise from the lorries unloading minerals to the rear. In fairness it is only a distant sound but it is there although it cannot be seen. Walking distance to Byronas Cove and the sand there is about ten minutes on the track below the rooms.

               ANDONIS COTTAGE
One of only three houses available in Pollonia. Clean with bedroom and kitchen/diner it is on the main road at the back of Pollonia and would be noisy at times and does not have views from the living area. It is individual and if you want to be alone ideal.

             ELENI APARTMENTS
On the main road into Pollonia but set well back in its own grounds so the problem of traffic noise is negligable. These small apartments are well kept. There no views to the sea but the apaprtments are set in amongst the fields on the outskirts of the village.
                          CHRISTO'S APARTMENTS
On the north shore of Pelakouda. These are unusual insomuch the owner does  not tolerate noise. He will not have radios or tv, air conditioners or even motorcycles driven into the area. It works. Christo is a great guy and the no noise policy means a really quiet holiday without the smallest chance of noisy people in the room next to you as everybody respects the rule and applaude it. He is right on the a rocky beach and being on the north shore air conditioning is not as vital as it might be if you were set back and unable to enjoy a breeze.
                            GALLINI APARTMENTS
Set on a main road so noisy at times. These are well kept apartments althought eh owners are not always available. With views to the sea at the front and over fields at the back. They are one of the most competatively priced places in Pollonia
              GLARONISSIA HOTEL
On the main road into Pollonia but a good ten minutes walk to the village centre and nearest beach this is the biggest hotel in Pollonia and caters for groups a  lot. The rooms are clean but without any viiews. The breakfast bar is exceptionally good.
               ANDREAS APARTMENTS
Situated in an elevated position this property enjoys both sunrise and sunset views over the village and the sea to the south and to the north unbroken views over the water. All rooms are studio style with airconditioning, nicely decorated but the upper studios are a shared balcony which however, is large. Andreas is also the Captain of the Perseus which takes clients on cruises plus being a farmer so expect fresh produce and do book  one of his lovely trips to Kimolos, Polyergos and in the evening to Glaronissia. A generous man who enjoys his guests company.

                        ARTISTS HOUSE AND STUDIO
This is just right for the holidaymaker who wants to have peace and quiet, but be ten minutes walk from the village centre and yet dive into the sea first thing in the morning.
The house was once owned by Guy Vaesen who was a well known artist and also stage director with the BBC until his retirement in the nineteen eighties when he excelled in his artwork at this house. It has since been sold and the present owners have left some of his work on the walls. In deference to his talent they have called the house for him. It is clean with one bedroom and a lounge cum bedroom, kitchen/diner. Patios front and back and the front garden overlooks the sea which is just at the bottom of the path. The flat rocks are a haven for swimmers and sunbathers alike as the water is safe for good swimmers (it is about 3 meters deep of the rocks) so small children will have to go to the sandy beach about five minutes walk away. The house will accomodate four to five people. The studio  has been converted into living accomodation for 3/4 people and has kitchen, toilet and bath. Outside patio to the front and by agreement the garden at the rear can be used with guests who stay in the house. Both units of course can be rented together. This is recommended because of its enique position on Pelakouda.
