Most of the photography has been done in the winter months so you will perhaps see more greenery than you would in August. This not only shows that Pollonia can be pleasant in the winter months, November to April, but it can also be cold and rainy. Unless you are not bothered about constant sunshine winter is a quiet time to visit BUT you must come prepared with warm clothes and also find a place that is more comfortable for longer dark evenings. There are few restaurants open, in fact, only two in Pollonia remain open and one of those only at week ends. The supermarket is open all year as is the other small grocers but you do need a vehicle as the bus service is very limited with only two buses a day to and from the village. You are seeing some, perhaps not at their best, because the shot will have been taken when the rooms or apartments are closed for the winter.

We will then describe the property in detail with what they offer in service and the general situation including the TRUE distance to the nearest sandy beach etc. We try not to be too hard on the owners and if things are really bad we never include the property in the site. Fortunately there is nowhere in Pollonia that is really bad although one or two could try harder.
Most places have some sea views but there are only one or two where you can actualy dive out of your bedroom directly into the sea. In fact Flora's Rooms is the only one that qualifies for that and even then there is a small road to cross before you get on to the sandy beach however, you can do it at Tania's and Apollon Hotel but you have to dive from the rocks which might not be comfortable for a lot of people. Nowhere has a swimming pool in the village, indeed there is nowhere that offers more than breakfast so you have to be prepared to cater for yourself or eat out.
